Merry Xmas ya'll and a bitch'n New Year

Another year comes to an end. Yep. We smashed this year. Modest.... slightly. We have turned Sydney Cafe Racers into Australian Cafe Racers. We have brought the Australian scene together for group riding, pub crawls, monday night dinners, go karting, flat tracking, parties, road trips, racing and so much more.
It has been a super busy year and we extend a thankyou to all the guys who have helped out. Your help is what makes Australian Cafe Racers what it is! To the people who have blogged to the people who have raced go karts a huge thanks to you all!
Without the help and assistance from Rex, Champo, Jeff, Josh, Doc and the enforcer Jordan this woulndt be as special as it is!
ACR has some huge plans for next year, so stay safe, ride safe (and crazy... but crazy safe!) and continue taking the long home road with us.
We have got a couple of the guys that help drive each group to put together a few words.
Melbourne Cafe Racers
With MCR yet to have it's first birthday, things have been going rather well for the fast growing arm of ACR. When the group was only in it's infancy, a ride was organised by Doc and Daz for an "unofficial" meet and greet albeit with Melbourne Winter in full swing. WELL Melbournes weather didn't dissapoint, soaking us all to the core by the time we got to lunch. Weather aside there was plenty of potential and want for a group of this nature.
With our illustrious leader Sir Hawwa giving the nod for the first official ride, it was planned and executed with minimal fault, aside from overwhelming the cafe at the meet point and the ludicrous wait time for food at the end point, the weather was awesome, the turn out was great and everyone stayed on the black stuff. Win in my books.
With the weather getting better (haha yeh right Melbourne) and a little something called the Distinguished Gentlemans ride coming up, the motley crew got back together in their finery to massage the eyes and ears of the streets of Melbourne. The weather held out, just, leaving us to ride around in a stately way. Big thanks to the Lucky 13 Garage for hosting the start and finish point of the day.
MCR now has a monthly dinner meet up which aims to give all us misfits the opportunity to get together, talk some trash, eat some good food and meet some new people. This I feel is an important step to bond what is still a small group, also giving us the opportunity to brainstorm new rides and events. These dinner meets are held the first Monday of every month.
As word of mouth gets out that there is a new community in town, that picks you up when you're feeling down (no... but really) we are slowly but steadily growing into the big shoes to fill of our Sydney cousins. Exciting times lay ahead for one of the younger arms of ACR

Newcastle Cafe Racers
As you read this I may be dead (or undead). As I write this I’m preparing a bike for tomorrow’s ride (21/12/2102). We are meeting at Nobbies for sunrise of the longest day of the year. Also the last day of the world as we know it. We are going to hold up in the mountains north of Dungog. One of my old relos, the gentleman bushranger Captain Thunderbolt did it, so can we. We are going to hold out there until things level out. Those on NCR know where to hold out in Newy. And remember the code word for us to get in is not as suggested earlier - ‘Brains’. – remember that.
If we don’t meet again, it’s been a golly gee wiz year. I wrote a big list of highlights, then shortened it to the top 1

So happy new year, and see you happy next year (if I don’t kill you zombie bastards with a shovel).

Merry Xmas and Happy New Years from the whole lot of us!
