Competition: Win a pair of old school racer goggles

The other day while snooping around at the Scotts motorcycles showroom I spotted this killer piece of eye saving equipment (How ironic). Its been a couple weeks and the SCR crew have been thinking how cool would it be to follow in the footsteps of our big brother websites and giveaway heaps rad shit! So after discussing that giving away shit isn't really that exclusive, I thought well.... these goggles would be an awesome give away! So I asked the Gents at Scott's if we could steal them off the shelf and give them away to a lucky Sydney Cafe Racer member. It took them less then .02 seconds to agree, instantly confetti fell from the ceiling and we all danced to a weird rendition of 99 luftballons.

So lets make this simple...

In exactly 30 words tell us why you want/deserve these classic racer adjustable goggles. The most creative answer will win. Attach your email address to your comment below or if you are a member login and then comment.

Note: 'I' and 'A' don't count as words so use them as much as you like.

Only one entry per member.

Competition Ends: 16/10/2011 (winner's name will be posted up here & notified by email)

Promotion #55378008

These goggles retail for $79.99.

A big thanks to the crew @ Scott's Motorcycles

Weekly Wrap 2nd October 2011

Norton's, Yamaha's, Honda's, Kawasaki's, Ducati's, Harley's; we have all seen them receive the Cafe Racer treatment before but has anyone ever seen a KTM transformed into a caffeine hit? Check out this 2007 KTM 690 Supermoto turned '69' Cafe Racer. A motorcycle build using the influence of the Cafe Racer / Bobber scene and a not so modest $15,000 budget. We found this article on Wired. Photos by the gents at Hell for Leather

We cant believe this pervert shares our favourite number. 69.

From one beautiful beast to quite opposite of another. I guess it is somewhat human nature sometimes to see and enjoy things that are built break (as long as you don't know the owner). Destruction derbies are a sure sign my statement above does bare some honesty. So ask us if we want to see a triumph Daytona 675 have its own Optimus Prime moment and transform from a perfectly balanced two wheeled sports bike into a unequally powered uni cycle. We say Fuck Yeah! Where is the popcorn?

We also saw a cafe racer build from father to son. Awwwwwwwwwwwww. A completely crazy custom build Kawasaki W650. Warning: This story includes lesbians. To check out more pictures of the bike not the lesbians you sick bastards click there > Return of the Cafe Racers

Don't forget Bell's Line of Road ride this Sunday for all who are available to make it. Its a big ride with an even bigger lunch to match!

The Weekly Wrap, 25th September 2011

Wow its starting to feel like the weekly wrap is happening daily! the weeks are absolutely flying and we are three months of the beard season.

This week brought us some good home made movies of the none nudity type. A few SCR members did the wall to wall ride last week and this video was the result of the ride back home, I assume. Cue the Thruxtons and Limp Bizkit.

We also visited or for some of us continued to revisit the Tron Ducati out running police (like a boss)

I think its safe to say we have been seeing alot more Harleys receiving the cafe treatment as of late and i guess it opens the table to alot of debate. I for one enjoy a well done Harley cafe and turning a V-Rod into one seems a bit strange and visually i would of assumed fugly. Bike Exif this week brought us just that; a Cafe Racer V-Rod made by Dr Mechanik.

I said Expresso - SUPER SIZED! Mr and Mrs. Pipeburn brought us a SCR members motorbike made by Matt Machine! Quite a cool write up and story as well! A good old 1975 XS650 Street Tracker.

why was 6 scared of 7? Because 7 ate 9. And to top off this week we have put up the next two rides! October ride will see us hitting the Bell's line of road and having lunch at the Full Throttle Cafe and November's ride will see hanging out with the Ton Up Boys on their 15th annual Rocker's Ride cruise!

And that's the weekly wrap. Keep your eyes on this space as we have an international build coming up with some exclusive shots and whatever else we can find . Booyah Casharrhhhh

Garage Company - Los Angeles

How's that for product placement

Here are some snaps taken by SCR members Vin and Jared. They spent a few days in the L to the A, and checked out the  Garage Company, BA Moto, Lossa & British Customs workshops.

The two of them are quite the story tellers. So what we did is let them say 10,000 words in the form 10 photos. You all know the saying a picture is worth 1000 words.

These pictures where taken a couple weeks ago at Garage Company, Inglewood, LA baby!

Pictures of the other 3 workshops we be uploaded randomly over the next few weeks. (or when we are hungover and stuggling to write blogs....)
